Episode 10 – Talking Soundtracks: Kick-@$$

Part 3 of Talking Soundtracks.  Tim joins Brad to talk about the songs of Kick-Ass.

But not before Jarf recommends a book for the True Believers to read.  And he gets a new Theme Song!

The Digressions:

  • Jon Ronson’s Book about the phenomena of real-life superheroes.
  • Joss Whedon’s run on the comic series ‘Runaways’ and how Marvel needs to do something with it.
  • The Tim Robbins movie Secret Life of Words and the song Hope Someone by Antony and The Johnsons.
  • Nicolas Cage and his once a decade quality performances.

New Episodes Coming!

We’re talking about Soundtracks from our Favorite Super Hero Movies.

First Up: The Crow with new Panelist Leah.  We recorded last night.  It sounds great and will be up this weekend.

Next: Guardian of the Galaxy with Shawn.

Then: Kick-Ass with Tim.

Finally: Flash Gordon with Jarf.

Lotta variety.  First thought was to splice together one episode, but after talking with Leah, I fear that would be a four hour mega-podcast.  Instead, we’re going to have a Soundtrack Mini-Series.
