Cool Comic Book Movie News

It’s a good day to be a comic book geek.  Actually, it’s been a good decade, but I’m getting off track.

-Looks like Wolverine will be appearing in X-Men: Apocalypse according to the trailer set to debut Monday.  Find out more Here.

-Nathan Fillion (aka Castle and, more importantly to people who think like me, Mal Reynolds) is rumored to be appearing in Guardians of the Galaxy 2 as Simon Williams, better know as Wonder Man.  I’m really jazzed about this because I’m a Fillion fan and I always liked Wonder Man.  Of course, it’s probably just a cameo, but still very cool.  Checkout more Here.

Episode 9 – Talking Soundtracks: Guardians of the Galaxy

Part 2 of Talking Soundtracks.  This time, Shawn joins Brad to talk about the music of Guardians of the Galaxy.

The Digressions:

1) Shawn read a book about the Replacements.  Turns out everything he said previously about the band and lead singer Paul Westerberg was wrong.

2) Shawn then gets the name of the book’s author wrong.  Several times.  Because of irony.

3) Kenny Loggins used to be ON EVERY SOUNDTRACK.

4) Phil Collins made $80 Million as a singer.  How did that happen?

5) Will Michael Penn ever put out a new album?  What about Trent Reznor?

Actually, that’s not too many digressions for an episode of Movies That Marvel.  There’ll be more next time.

New Episodes Coming!

We’re talking about Soundtracks from our Favorite Super Hero Movies.

First Up: The Crow with new Panelist Leah.  We recorded last night.  It sounds great and will be up this weekend.

Next: Guardian of the Galaxy with Shawn.

Then: Kick-Ass with Tim.

Finally: Flash Gordon with Jarf.

Lotta variety.  First thought was to splice together one episode, but after talking with Leah, I fear that would be a four hour mega-podcast.  Instead, we’re going to have a Soundtrack Mini-Series.

Keep an eye on this website for news.
