She’s been in movies! She’s acted on stage! She’s the lead singer for Midnight Drive! Welcome Dear Friend Amy Kenerup to the Podcast.

-The Play ‘Murder at Howard Johnsons.’
-The band Midnight Drive, which features Amy on lead vocals.

The trailer for The Batman: The Killing Joke animated movie is out. It is based on the excellent graphic novel by Allan Moore and Brian Bolland. It is my favorite Batman story and possibly my favorite comic book of all time. Entertainment Weekly posted a nice article on the movie Here. Be warned, it is an R Rated film. Not for kids.
The Reviews for Captain America: Civil War have been coming out for a week or so. That’s a big deal in itself because Batman V. Superman didn’t allow reviews to come out until a day or two before the film’s release. Cap 3 allowing reviews this early means they are confident they have a solid film and reviews will help, not hurt, them. The thought process is paying off because I haven’t seen a bad review yet. You can check out EW’s review Here.
It’s a good day to be a comic book geek. Actually, it’s been a good decade, but I’m getting off track.
-Looks like Wolverine will be appearing in X-Men: Apocalypse according to the trailer set to debut Monday. Find out more Here.
-Nathan Fillion (aka Castle and, more importantly to people who think like me, Mal Reynolds) is rumored to be appearing in Guardians of the Galaxy 2 as Simon Williams, better know as Wonder Man. I’m really jazzed about this because I’m a Fillion fan and I always liked Wonder Man. Of course, it’s probably just a cameo, but still very cool. Checkout more Here.
Before that, Brad talks about Bob Dylan and the girl he met who tried to crash in the Rec Room in his college dorm twenty years ago.
-How The Matrix would have been worse with Will Smith.
-The accuracy of Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey’s vision of the future.
-The writers Arnold Schwarzenegger would bring in to punch up scripts.
-The Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon series.

Exciting stuff upcoming on the Podcast. First and Foremost, we’ve undergone a name change. Movies That Marvel is now The Cosmic Geppetto Podcast!
Why? Well, the plan was to use Marvel Movies and Comic Book Movies as the basis for the Podcast with the option to talk about other stuff. It was observed we were talking about other stuff more and more. It was also causing agitate with guests who worried they couldn’t come on if they didn’t know the in’s and out’s of Superman 4: Quest for Peace.
Don’t worry, Comic Book Movies will always be part of the show, but as a general interest Pop Culture Podcast, we’re free to talk about other cool stuff and not feel bad about it.
